2009-2010 Coaches

Quincy Kelly - Head Coach
Coach Quincy grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area, and began swimming on a year-round swim team at the age of 8. At age 12 she was the 11-12 year old Junior Olympic winner (North Bay Aquatic League only) in the 100 and 200 yard Breaststroke. Her swimming career ended at age 16, when she began to focus on other school sports. Quincy spent 22-years in the US Army, and is currently a stay-at-home mother to Kristen. In September she volunteered to begin coaching the youngest Sea Lions. Her goal is to see all of her swimmers improve their strokes and times with every practice and every meet. “I’m very proud of all of my swimmers! Your hard work at practice is more than obvious by your continuously improving times at the swim meets. Keep up the great work. You guys are awesome!”

Jason Jordan - Assistant Coach
Coach Jason is no stranger to the HD Sea Lions or the EFSL as he was part of the coaching staff as an assistant coach from 2004-2007.  During that time the Sea Lions went from a 9th place finish at the 2005 CHAMPS to a 4th, and 3rd place finish during the following two seasons.

He also is the Director and Founder of the American Swim School which provides english speaking children in the Mannheim & Heidelberg a place to learn how to swim using the latest competitive swimming skills.

Coach Jason's swimming experience encompasses over 15 years of knowledge as a professional coach and swimmer.  He was a member of two winning swim teams (Swim Omaha, and the University of North Dakota - UND).  During the summer of 1997 he won the Senior 50 Freestyle at the Midwestern Long Course Championships while swimming for Swim Omaha.  He also earned NCAA II All-American Honors while swimming for UND in 1998.  He then spent the following year as an assistant at UND coaching nationally ranked swimmers to All-American honors.

Coach Jason is excited to return to the Sea Lions after being a stay-at-home dad to his twin boys over the last two years.

Kimberly Wooten - Assistant Coach
Coach Wooten is a military brat who hails from New Hampshire.  Her love for swimming began as a toddler and continued throughout her childhood where she competed in YMCA teams, club teams, and open water events. As an adult Kimberly continued with intramural and masters teams through college and beyond until discovering triathlon several years ago.  This is Kimberly’s first year coaching and she is looking forward to learning as much as she can while getting to know all the Sea Lions.   Kimberly is a stay at home mom and aspiring writer who also home-schools her two children.   Her hobbies are scuba diving, reading, photography, and swimming of course!
