The Family Sponsor Program will match returning swim families with new swimming families at Orientation.
There are a lot of details involved with being on a swim team in the EFSL.  As a new swim family there will be a lot that you may not understand, especially if this is your first exposure to competitive swimming. Having the experience of a returning family who understands how things run can be a wonderful resource for you.
A sponsor family will assist their assigned family by helping:

• with directions
• understand practice procedures
• prepare swimmers on meet days with event schedule and “event graffiti”
• explain procedures with away meets and travel plans
• the new family learn the ropes of being a member of the Heidelberg Sea Lions
