Usefule iPhone Apps
On my iPhone, I have a few apps and a few web shortcuts. One shortcut is to the qualifying times, another is to the Sea Lions web site, and finally a shortcut to our team's Google calendar. I have the link to our site so I can quickly get to the meet schedule, meet results, or other resources on our web site when I am at a meet or just out and about.
Swim Log
Below are a few screenshots from the app called "Swim Log." This app stores times for multiple swimmers and compares them to the USA Swimming time standards. It's a good way for me to keep track of my kids' progress through the year.
This screenshot shows a "Bump" feature from within "Swim Log." I can transfer the results for my kids from my phone to my wife's or vice versa.
Swim Meet
This app is filled out before a meet so I can see which events my kids are involved in. It could be better, but this way I don't have to write on myself.
Swimmer TimesCALC
This app allows me to convert a time from a 50m swim to a 25m time. All of the EFSL qualification times are in 25m times. For new parents, a 50m time generally takes longer than a 25m time I guess because the swimmer doesn't get the additional kick from their turn. So we convert 50m times to 25m times to determine if a swimmer qualifies for the Championship meet.
